We had decided that as part of our 70th birthday plans it might be nice to have some photos taken by someone who knew what they were doing rather than us and our wonky (though enthusiastic!) shots.
My first thought was Kate.
On our previous trip to Kielder Forest I had joined a fb group in the area to ask if there was someone who would come out to the house where we were staying - to give us tips on how to photograph the dark skies and possibly the Aurora.
I had several replies but straight away I knew who I was going to choose - the lady who said 'I charge £80, a bottle of gin.. and a good laugh!' Our sort of person!
Kate.
Luckily she agreed to travel a bit further to do our photoshoot - and here are the results..
The pics were mostly done indoors as the weather was blustery but there were loads of suitable places in the house.
Then we moved into the games room for a few sedate sofa pics.
'Put your leg up on the edge of the table like a snooker player' said Kate. Joyce and I gave it a go..

What a brilliant experience and a fabulous memory made with very special people. Kate put us all totally at easy and we had such fun doing what we do best - laughing and chatting - with a bit of sass!
