Friday 6 October
Carol, Chris, Janice, Jeanette, Joyce, Linda, Rosemary, Sally, Siobhan, Sue, Wendy.
Our house this time was on the outskirts of the village of Cleobury Mortimer.
It was set back from the farm track with loads of space for parking - with a hot tub overlooking the beautiful countryside.
A huge kitchen with plenty of space for eating and socialising.
There was a covered well on display in the corridor - maybe the original source of water for the farm?
We bought in our bags, filled up the fridges and eyed up the hot tub. 'Germ soup' said Sally 😁 but in we went!
After a lovely meal we spent a lazy evening doing not much at all except drinking and chatting 😁
Saturday 7 October
Beautiful sun rise.
Continental breakfast then a trip to Ludlow.
Bridget joined us for a delicious pub meal.
Great to see her.
Time for a drink when we got back to our accommodation - with a surprise 'happy nearly birthday' cake for Siobhan's birthday on Tuesday 😋
We had no idea what message Chris was leaving for us with the one slipper outside her bedroom door.. 🤔
.. and she had no idea either - and no idea how it got there.. 🤣🤣🤣
Delicious 😋😋

Sunday 8 October
Joyce was very organised for breakfast.
Delicious 😋😋
The twisted tower on the church at Cleobury Mortimer - not as twisted as Chesterfield though.
Siobhan ubered us down to the village to start Sue's walk from there.
The weather was perfect..
.. and the scenery was stunning.
St Mary's Church at Nene Savage.
A bridge and a slow flowing stream - perfect for pooh sticks.
Those who didn't walk had a trip to the Burford House garden centre for coffee, cake and a gentle wander.
We were all ready for a dip in the hot tub when we got back. It was hot 🔥🥵 in the sunshine..
After another lovely meal we all settled in the lounge for yet another lazy evening as we were all tired.
