May 26: SaS photoshoot

We had decided that as part of our 70th birthday plans it might be nice to have some photos taken by someone who knew what they were doing rather than us and our wonky (though enthusiastic!) shots.

My first thought was Kate.

On our previous trip to Kielder Forest I had joined a fb group in the area to ask if there was someone who would come out to the house where we were staying - to give us tips on how to photograph the dark skies and possibly the Aurora.

I had several replies but straight away I knew who I was going to choose - the lady who said 'I charge £80, a bottle of gin.. and a good laugh!'  Our sort of person!

Kate.

Luckily she agreed to travel a bit further to do our photoshoot - and here are the results..

The pics were mostly done indoors as the weather was blustery but there were loads of suitable places in the house.

Our first location was the yoga room. 'Just enjoy it' said Kate - so we did.

'Give it some sass' she said. So we did!

'Make some shapes' she said. So we did.

Then we moved into the bathroom - and literally jumped into the huge jacuzzi bath with a view.

'Keep your clothes on Janice' said Linda.. 😁

'Who??. Me??.. ' said Janice.. 😁

We settled for a coy shoulder pic instead.

We tried to copy the pose of the statue in the corner of the bathroom. It is there between Sue and Diana.

Then we moved into the games room for a few sedate sofa pics.

Fun at the pool table.

My tattoo - feather for my sister and shooting star for Siobhan.. 💕

'Put your leg up on the edge of the table like a snooker player' said Kate. Joyce and I gave it a go..

.. others needed a bit of help.. 🤣

Sue tried a trick shot..

.. and Jeanette and Chris sensibly ignored everyone and kept playing the arcade game.. 🤣🤣🤣

We all put silly face masks on and turned round to face Kate.

Oh how we laughed.. 🤣

Photos of the photographer taking the photos.. and their professional photo!

Kate showing Janice how to make a heart with her fingers.. 🫶

Carr Hill school pic with Siobhan.. 💕

Then it was out until the garden where we eventually had a sensible photo taken.

One last picture with the cake for those who hadn't wandered off.

Some beautiful individual pics.

What a brilliant experience and a fabulous memory made with very special people. Kate put us all totally at easy and we had such fun doing what we do best - laughing and chatting - with a bit of sass!

Thank you again Kate.

A wonderful way to celebrate our special occasion - happy birthday to us all!.. 🎉🍹🎂🥳
